Carol Vorderman reveals when Lorraine Kelly will return to TV after Covid
LORRAINE Kelly is set to return to her show on Monday after falling ill with Covid.
Carol Vorderman was forced to step in last minute this week, but revealed the host is “better”” and ready to get back to work.
She explained: “Good morning everyone, I’m still here filling in for Lorraine today. She’s feeling a lot better thank goodness and hoping to be back in her chair where she belongs on Monday.”
Much to fans disappointment, Lorraine did not appear on her popular ITV show Lorraine on Monday.
While she has had absences before, such as when she is on holiday, this was more sudden.
The Good Morning Britain presenters even joked about their surprise seeing her replacement in the studios at 5am.
Carol revealed she had been drafted in to host, telling Susanna and Ed Balls: “Lorraine’s caught the dreaded you know what, and I’m sitting in for a few days here, which I’m delighted to do.”
Lorraine turned to Twitter to let her fans know she was ok and would be back soon.
She said: “Well the Covid has finally got me and I tested positive at the weekend.
“Thanks to the vaccine it’s not too bad and I hope to be back at work very soon. Huge thanks to @carolvorders who will be hosting @lorraine until I’m back.”
