THE View fans have dubbed themselves shocked after host Sunny Hostin has missed another day as the morning show is headed towards its final week of Season 25.
Sunny, 53, appeared to be absent from the panel of The View.
At the beginning of August, Sara Haines, 44, Joy Behar, 69, and Whoopi Goldberg, 66, were joined by guest host Ana Navarro, 50.
The ladies of The View kickstarted the show with a heated discussion about Chris Rock’s reaction to Will Smith’s new apology video over the infamous slap.
Viewers started speculating if Sunny’s absence might continue after realizing they did not spot the TV star in the ads for the last installments of Season 25.
One fan noted: “Sunny’s off #TheView.”
Another fan mentioned: “Ana is on today but not Sunny #theview.”
A third fan added: “Sunny???? Is she coming back?”
A fourth person wrote: “I’m low-key glad Sunny isn’t here cause I don’t want to be here to see her talking about Will.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, 33, was also missing from the same panel as Sunny.
ALYSSA’S NEW ROLE
Her hiatus from the TV show came out as insiders close to production told Daily Mail that Alyssa’s alleged new position as co-host will be announced soon.
At least three sources claimed to the publication that the guest host has landed a permanent role in the upcoming 26th season, which is expected to begin in September.
One insider told the publication: “My jaw dropped when I was told that she was the pick. It makes no sense.”
Another source claimed: “Her soon-to-be co-hosts are very upset.
“They feel she isn’t authentic and changes her opinions based on who her paymaster is.”
Meanwhile, another insider claimed: “Her appointment will also cost us bookings.
“Wanda Sykes pulled out because she didn’t want to be on the show with her.”
The talk show has been looking for a new full-time conservative co-host since Meghan McCain’s exit last year.
Sunny and Alyssa found themselves playing together for a trivia game hosted by Good Morning America star Michael Strahan and Whoopi.
During The $100,000 Pyramid game, Sunny appeared awkward and nervous while Alyssa bounced around happily.
Sunny only got two answers correct, which is how her team lost to castmates Sara and Joy.
Viewers jumped to the comments section of an online thread after they realized Sunny seemed like she did not want to be paired with Alyssa.
One viewer noticed: “The side eye Sunny is giving Alyssa is sending me laughs. She did not want to play with her.”
