The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the scene around 6:30 pm local time on Tuesday after receiving a report about a man climbing the KTLA tower in the city.
The man was at one point playing his guitar. Officials have referred to him as a ‘protester,’ reports KTLA, but it unclear what he is protesting. Since climbing up the tower, which he has since come down from, ‘Free Billie Eilish’ has started to trend on Twitter.
A large inflatable airbag has been placed below the man as emergency responders work to bring him down safely.
Roads around the station’s headquarters have been shut down. Power to the tower was also shut off as crisis negotiators spoke with the man.

He threw his guitar onto the inflatable before climbing down the 162-foot TV tower.
On the other side of his sign, read: ‘MK ultra sex slaves Donald Marshall clones.’ It is unclear what he is referring too, but Marshall was a Canadian has become synonymous with wrongful conviction after he was incorrectly convicted of murder in 1971.
